PT Bara Jaya Utama was established in year 2001 with core activity in coal mining business. Known shortly as BJU, the company is recently operatind the Teluk Bayur Coal Mine that consist of 5,200 hectares of coal mining concession area located in Teluk Bayur and Sambaliung Dictrict, Berau Regency in East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
BJU has started the development package of Teluk Bayur and Sambaliung steaming coal deposit in November 2001. The pilot strip mining operation is commenced in August 2004.
After many improvements were made to some key areas, BJU is proud to announce the achievement made production line and the projected annual production of total 2 million tons for the beginning years can be optimistically achieved for domestic market as well as for export request.
